THe Steubenville CEE Presenters
Two of the following couples will be leading your retreat weekend. We look forward to meeting you!
John and Theresa Deller (Local Coordinators)
John and Theresa, also the Local Coordinators, became involved with C.E.E. in 2015 and have been involved ever since. Both are natives of Steubenville, but now reside in Toronto, Ohio. They married in 2009 at Holy Family Church. They met at Theresa’s sister's wedding (also at Holy Family) were she was the Maid-of-honor and John was the best man. They instantly hit it off and were married a year and a half later. They have three kids, Charlotte, Ella, and John (a.k.a. Jack-Jack). John is a Respiratory Therapist at UPMC Presbyterian and Theresa works from home for Condensed Curriculum Inc. placing college students in medical externships. They enjoy watching movies, cooking together, taking their kids to parks, and family gatherings.
Alex & Caitlin Renn (ASSistant Local Coordinators)
Alex and Caitlin have been married for five incredibly busy years. They got married in September 2014, moved across the country in July 2015, had their first baby that same October, and bought their first house of September 2016. Needless to say, they've decided they need to slow down a bit in future years. Alex met Caitlin while they were students at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. He wanted to get married before they graduated, but Caitlin made him wait a bit-- five long years. Good thing he is an incredibly patient man! Caitlin is from Orange County, CA, and Alex is from Corvallis, OR. They currently live in Steubenville where Alex is the Director of Marketing for the St. Paul Center. Caitlin is a wedding and lifestyle photographer and stays at home with their sons, Jackson and Marcus and dog, Whiskey. They are thrilled to be part of the CEE team!
Josh and Cruz Hawrot
Alums of FUS, Josh and Cruz Hawrot are one of the presenting couples who may lead your retreat weekend. They've been involved with CEE as long as they've been married-8 years-because they enjoy the ministry and get just as much out of it as the engaged couples. They stay young, strong, fit and trim via their 4 children (3 girls & 1 boy). Some hobbies they share together are reading, playing music/singing, games of all sorts, thoroughly talking things out (both are counselors), and sharing new jokes & puns with one another. If you know of a really good fish pun, let minnow.
David & Meghan Coen
David and Meghan Coen live in Steubenville Ohio with their four children, twin boys Gabriel & Liam, Mary Eva, and their newest addition baby Audrey! David is a Steubenville native whereas Meghan is from Reston, Virginia. They met at Franciscan University almost ten years ago, on their first and only blind date and have been married six years this July. After living in Northern Virginia for four years they recently returned to Steubenville. David is an Occupational Therapist working in Home Health, and Meghan was a 5th grade teacher prior to becoming a full-time mommy. They have 23 fish, 2 snails, 1 java fern, 2 lemon trees, and are aspiring to grow a gargantuan garden this summer. They are very excited to begin their ministry with Catholic Engaged Encounter for the Diocese of Steubenville.
Patrick & Paula LeMasters
Patrick and Paula met "later in life" at Faith Ranch in Jewett. Patrick had already established himself here in his hometown as a martial arts instructor and musician, and was teaching woodwind and guitar lessons at the Center of Music and Art; Paula was briefly, or so she thought, resting in Steubenville between adventures (Alaska, Salesian missions, FUS, youth ministry, and an Arkansas monastery farm) to focus on writing and selling icons. They married a year later, in October 2014, and so began a whole new adventure together. In between painting, Paula enjoys volunteering at AIM, Samaritan House, and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd; praying with people; writing; and spending time with family. In between music and teaching self-defense (He opened LeMasters Christian Martial Arts Academy in September 2016), Patrick likes origami, youtube hacks, movies, and parkour. Together they enjoy nature, animals, playing music, and getting to know their parish family.
